Famous Radio station Trailblazing female DJ Annie Nightingale dies who was the first female presenter at the age of 83.
In 1970 Nightingale joined the radio station and remained the only woman on the line she was mostly known for her passion for music, she was championing everything from prog rock and punk to acid house and grime.
She was very talented and remained in the air last year as an Annie Nightingale presence. She was also known for co-hosting the BBC Two music show named The Old Grey Whistle Test.

Lots of tributes were given to her, DJ Annie Mac saying she was very adventurous, fearless, spirited, trailblazer, smart, hilarious and so good, she is outstanding at her job.
In an Instagram statement, she added she is the woman who changes the face and sound of radio Broadcasting and British TV.
After listening to the news about Nightingale’s death BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball was also shocked and heartbroken, said she is a pure lover of music and no one loves music like her, she also sought out the tunes and artists which helped us to shape our lives, she takes interview of them and opens the doors for musicians, broadcaster, and DJs.
